If you’ve been following our Instagram stories, you know we love to promote women who carry. These women are presenting at boardrooms, pushing baby strollers, and getting lattes after hot yoga (in addition to making time for the range). One wonderful thing about women carrying concealed today is that none of us would ever know because of all the great options available. Not sure what those are? Let us help you out!
Purse/Handbag
It's our favorite, obviously. When it’s summertime and you are trying to stay cool in shorts and a tank top, there isn’t a lot of room to hide a gun on your body. This is when the concealed carry purse shines. While carrying a purse, or handbag, you need to make sure you practice drawing so you’re as quick as you would be if your firearm was holstered onto your body. You will also want to make sure that the purse is always on your shoulder or across your body for ease of access. There are a few purses that have the holster located on the side (check out our 2021 Fall Lookbook here for inspiration), while others are tucked into the center of the purse.
Leggings
From athleisure to yoga, leggings are practical and functional. In leggings, the holster is located on either the front or back of the waistband. One of our favorite brands at Zendira is Alexo. BONUS: these are great for hiking!
Waistband Holsters
Inside? Check.
Outside? Check.
These holsters fit onto the waistband of your pants (and inside Zendira bags). They're the standard in carrying concealed and come in leather, kydex, and other materials.
Bellyband Holster
This is a great option that will fit snuggly and securely around your waist under your clothing. They are easily adjustable and great for those months when we tend to wear looser and warmer clothing. Keep in mind how your hand is angled and find one that gives you a comfortable slant. One great brand to check out is ComfortTac (and the 26k+ 5 star reviews on Amazon) for their Ultimate Belly Band. While you’re looking around, you may even find one that will allow you to hold magazines and your firearm in it.
Bra Holster
Sometimes bras hold a few extras (like keys, cards, and lip gloss). Sometimes bras hold firearms, too. You can find holsters designed to fit between your breasts and on the side under your arm. Flash Bang has options for each and number of color combinations.
